Your quizmaster for the evening, Fritz Holznagel, became an Athenæum member in 1999—just 4 years after winning the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions. He also represented the U.S. at the first Jeopardy! Olympic Tournament in 1996 and appeared on the show’s Ultimate Tournament of Champions (2005) and Battle of the Decades (2014). In real life, he’s the creator of the biographical encyclopedia Who2.com and a freelance writer who once wrote questions about Kansas, Missouri, and South Dakota for Where in the U.S.A. is Carmen Sandiego? A proud Oregon native, Fritz graduated with a degree in history from Willamette University in 1983.
Pizza, wine, and beer will be served.
