Downloadable Audiobooks Are Back
At last, downloadable audiobooks are back. The Boston Athenæum recently subscribed to OneClickdigital, an electronic database that will allow you to download an audiobook to your favorite portable listening device,such as the Droid or the iPad.
To browse, search, and download audiobooks, start by connecting to OneClickdigital from the electronic resources page. You must create an account with OneClickdigital in order to download audiobooks. To do this, be sure to click on the New Users link for OneClickdigital. Then click "Create New Account" in the upper right area of the OneClickdigital homepage.
- Enter your personal information, and create a username and password

and are required any time you wish to download an audiobook.

- Click on the Windows or Macintosh OneClickdigital Media Manager icon
- Follow the Media Manager installation prompts.
iPad and iPhone users: A free OneClickdigital app is now available from the iTunes store! Now you can download audiobooks directly to your mobile Apple device. You must be a registered user in order to log in to the app. *Please note that after clicking "check out" you must refresh the My Titles page to enjoy your new audiobook.
