Member's Choice: A Revolutionary Encounter in London

with Debbie Wiess

Two great figures of American Colonial history, who were polar opposites of each other, had the chance to meet in London summer 1773.  Author Debbie Wiess will present and discuss the new one act play she has written about this historic meeting.

Debbie Wiess is a Boston-based author, who writes in French, as well as English.  She has created a wide range of projects for stage and screen, in addition to poetry and short stories, in both languages.  She has a particular interest in historical and literary subjects. Her work has been presented throughout the US and abroad, in traditional and non-traditional venues. In addition to writing, she also directs and produces projects and events. Her play Of Thyme and Rosemary, a conversation between literary icons James Joyce and Marcel Proust, which was a Member's Choice event in March 2018, was presented several times in Dublin this past June in its city-wide Bloomsday Festival.  The play was recently translated by the author into French and will have presentations in that language next year in Boston and France.
