Join BA Docent Carolyn Hilles-Pilant for a virtual tour of the library's historic landmark building, including inspiring views of its reading rooms and an introduction to its history and remarkable collections. Whether you are new to the Athenæum or a member who frequents the building, Carolyn has stories that are sure to impress and surprise you.
Woman with chin length gray hair smiling into the camera.Carolyn Hilles-Pilant  is a longtime BA member who became a docent aftert retiring from an academic career that included teaching, college counceling, and being a library director. Researching the works in the BA's collections pulls together her background in history and her experience of the art and culture she enjoyed while living and working in six countries. In her tours, she aims to entertain and engage with others as well as inform--a combination she has learned to value in her decades of teaching.
