with Todd Pattison
Members: Free | Visitors: Free with admission
Join book artist Todd Pattison for a talk about his binding for Quilted: From Pattern to Patchwork, which is part of the Encyclopedia of Inspiration series published by Uppercase Magazine. As part of this discussion, Todd will highlight two other bindings in the exhibition: one by Erin Fletcher and another by Jackie Scott. All three bindings use the same decoration techniques of embroidery and leather onlays.
Todd Pattison is Conservator at New England Historic Genealogical Society. He is a past Chapter Chair of the New England Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers.
This gallery talk is offered in conjunction with the exhibition 40 Years: Celebrating the New England Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers, on view at the Boston Athenæum through August 7, 2021.
