Join library worker and book artist Yi Bin Liang for a discussion of her binding of Tillie Walden's I Love This Part, along with two other bindings she made in the same illustrative style. She will talk about the onlay and tooling techniques she used, and audience members will be invited to handle the works.

She graduated from the North Bennet Street School's bookbinding program in 2019. She also has a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, and currently serves on the New England Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers.

This gallery talk is offered in conjunction with the exhibition 40 Years: Celebrating the New England Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers, on view at the Boston Athenæum through August 7, 2021.
