Although the 19th Amendment granted women the right to vote in 1920, this artist’s book reminds us that there is still work to be done. It was inspired by and is a tribute to the Silent Sentinels who stood vigil at the White House from January of 1917 until June of 1919 to gain the right for women to vote. This artist's book—acquired specifically for (Anti)SUFFRAGE—ensured contemporary, intersectional connections to a historical commemoration could be readily made.
